It’s been extremely nice not being in school. I’m actually pretty upset that I only have about two and a half more weeks left for my summer vacation. The past few days I’ve had a steady dose of golf, video games, and rest. Unfortunately, as you all have undoubtedly noticed, this has caused my creative website output to decrease. For that, I apologize.

On the upside though, I did find something quite interesting today. While doing a Google search on my name today (something I do occasionally to see if my website is still the number one Google search result for my name or to just see what information of mine is out there on the net) and I came across a stunning website. I mean, really? Someone has a website named “Todd Grooms is an idiot”? Of course I had to look through it to see if it was about me. Who knows? Perhaps there is a group of people who secretly hate me enough to invest time and money into a website. Fortunately for me, the site is not referring to me. Instead it refers to some Todd Grooms that lives in a town called Pocahontas (unsure of which state it is located in though). Unfortunately though, this does not bode well for my internet reputation. Many will be like, “Oh who cares? It’s just a website online and it won’t affect you.” However, you could be quite wrong. In today’s job market, it is not uncommon for hopeful future employers that you are interviewing with to perform an internet search on your name to see what comes up. I can only hope they will notice that this Todd Grooms is not me, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it does cause a bit of confusion. I do understand that there isn’t much I can do about it and I definitely know that the website does not refer to me, but I cannot help but feel a little disheartened by seeing “Todd Grooms is an idiot” atop a webpage though (even though it’s really not far from the truth). I guess I could always get “toddgroomsisawesome.com” to offset this site… GoDaddy here I come!
