Yes, yes. It’s true. I still do not have electricity (which pretty much blows). So, if you count Sunday as a full day (and you really should, because I wasn’t at home very long on Sunday when I had power), it’s been five days (counting today) that I have suffered without electricity. I kid about the suffering part, but I’ve found it odd that more damage to people (as in deaths and injuries) have occurred after the storm. Many people are using generators here in Louisville, and that’s fine, but they are forgetting to keep them well ventilated and are instead suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning. Quite sad actually.

Anyways, I go from one depressing subject to another: school. With a lack of electricity this week, I’ve had a tough time with classes. On top of this, I have had quite a bit going on this week. That work includes a lab that was due today that my group and I did not finish until earlier today. Luckily we finished it. Unluckily during the demonstration, our program messed up (after working perfectly before the demonstration). Doubly unluckily for us, the teacher’s assistant administering the lab asked us if we had implemented something that we were supposed to, to which we could only reply, “No.” Hopefully though, since it’s the first lab and we have had quite a bit going on, with a storm that has knocked out electricity and the fact that there is only one working system in the lab, he will go easy on us and have mercy on our souls. I think he’ll be understanding though, he seems like a really nice guy. He’s really helpful and pretty understanding about all of it, which is good because this class is a pretty difficult class and has that caveat of a terrible professor.

This train doesn’t stop here though. I have two exams, two projects, and a few homework assignments due next week. Ouch.
