Is My Car Stalling?

So today, after a long day of lab and class, I decided to go to Starbucks and treat myself to some overpriced coffee. After that, I decided to head down to a music, game, and book trade store to see if they have an old Paul Simon cd as I've been hooked on older music lately.

Anyways, I'm driving and I come to a stop sign. I wait for this car to go so that I can pull out and as I do, my car starts to jump as though I'm stalling it. I rarely stall my car as I've been driving a manual transmission for quite a while. I'm shocked that I'm stalling my car on take off. As I look up in my rear view mirror, I notice the look on this girls face that seems to yell "Oh Shit, I just hit that guy in front of me." Then I realize... she rear-ended me. I was so pissed and I didn't know what to do. It didn't feel very severe and I didn't want to call up my insurance and the cops over a small fender bender. I just decide to drive off. I mean after all, I'm sure she would rather me ignore it and save her an insurance increase. So I drive off. I drive down the road, park my car, then go around the back to assess the damage. Luckily, all I see is a small scuff that disappears after rubbing it a bit. Thank goodness.
