Pages Find

Anyone who knows me, knows that it doesn't take much to excite me. I generally get excited when I discover features about programs that I use everyday. Today brings me excitement from Pages 3, which is part of the iWork '08 application suite. I generally prefer to write in Pages when I need to do any word processing, but I sometimes dislike the lack of correction features that it has compared to Microsoft Word. However, today that has all changed. I stumbled upon Pages' Preferences (Pages -> Preferences or Command+I) and found that Pages is quite customizable with it's auto-correction features.

Pages Preferences

With these settings, I was able to turn on auto capitalization (capitalize the first word of every sentence), always superscript the "nd" part of "2nd", and I was even able to add my own rules to always capitalize my name. I may be one of the only users of Pages that was not aware of this feature, but I'm extremely excited to stumble upon it. If someone out there did not know about it, I hope you enjoy it.
