Glad to Help Out

Over this weekend, at my apartment, we had some neighbors that moved in. I met them on Saturday morning as I was walking Buckley and saw them a little later as I needed them to move their moving truck so that I could get out (had to head to campus). Yesterday, as I was taking Buckley for a walk, I came across the couple as they were trying to move their couch up to their third floor apartment. I felt quite bad for them and the woman, a recently new mother, seemed pretty tired. So I came down the stairs and offered to help them move their big furniture into their new apartment, as I know how hard moving can be without much help. I just asked the woman if she'd walk Buckley while I helped and she happily agreed.

I helped them move their couch, mattress and box springs, and a dresser into their apartment. They tried to offer me money or something to drink, but I turned them down. Truthfully it just felt good to help out a neighbor in need. Hopefully, good karma like that will find it's way back to me, in the form of a good grade on this exam I have to take later.
