A Tough Decision

Lately, I've been juggling a really tough decision around. Should I look for full-time employment or seek a different method of employment? As some of you know, I have been in talks with a recruiting agency, attempting to find full-time employment. I have also been to other interviews and have spoken to employers about some openings. I had a very positive interview recently, where, if things pan out, I would work for that employer as an independent consultant. Essentially, as far as I understand it, I'd be in business for myself. This possibility scares the be-Jesus out of me. At the same time, however, this possibility excites me.



With that in mind, I have stepped off the recruiting carousel. I won't name the recruiting company in question, nor will I speak badly of it. I just didn't get the results I was looking for. The opportunities coming through that recruiter did not entice me all that much. Instead, I have decided to jump down that "self-employed" rabbit hole, at least for a while, to see what comes of it.
